Abombinaball development post-mortem
Well it was quite a hard slog, but in the end I finished my Flash remake of the Atari ST classic game Abombinaball. I am extremely happy with the end results. It’s polished until you can see your face in it, and has gone down really well in the final round of beta testing.
Here are a couple of screenies:
Read my full development post-mortem here. The game is currently in the bidding process on FlashGameLicense.com (3 bids and counting!) so once this has finished I’ll of course release it for everyone to play

Rich, I can’t wait to play the new version. Sad about the tune, but no worries. Thanks for trying to put it in though. The first impressions service is really good to find out what the public wants.
Cool game! I can’t wait for the final version! No worries about my tune, as retro isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
I very much liked the article on the making and testing of this game – it provided some very usefull information. Keep up the good work!
level 22 ??????????????
impossible!!!!!!!!!
Hi Mario – You are right, there is a bug in the layout of level 22 that stops it being able to be finished! Sorry about that. I have fixed my version, so if you play here: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/472400 then you can get past level 22 now (the password is “shonen” to get to level 22). I have sent a new version to GamezHero as well, hopefully they will update soon. In the meantime the password for level 23 is “AFRICA”.
