New Game Release – Pumpkin Dash
I wanted to create something quick and fun for Halloween, so I came up with Pumpkin Dash.
You are a candy collecting pumpkin, and you must zoom around the graveyard collecting as many sweets as possible while avoiding everything else. Skulls, ghosts, bats and tomb stones are out to get you.
The Witches Hats will give you either a trick or a treat when collected – so it’s up to you if you dare take them!
I had fun writing this, definitely my fastest turn-around for a game yet (although I could still do better if I didn’t tinker so much!)
Update: You can now play this game on Kongregate.

Cool little game, Rich. I like how easy the visual design part of game dev comes to you. Everything looks great! It’s pretty fun, but I suck at it.
Thanks for the comments Jeff. I pushed this out via the usual channels (Mochi, NG, Kongregate) and some of the “reviews” made me laugh so hard – one idiot even said “it’s just snake, 1/5”. What a fucking moron
(that was on Kongregate of course, the NewGrounds people seem far more intelligent so far!)
Love the glow trail. Nice concept, and with the great presentation I expect from your stuff now mate.
Even before just reading your comment above I was going to ask why put yourself through the shit that is kong ? Low traffic unless it sits on the front page for months ( And the games that are on there aren’t moving in a hurry ) and just comments from people who shouldn’t be allowed near a keyboard.
I’m sure when you sign up for Kong part of the t&c that you tick says “Be an overly critical cock about everything, unless it’s got RPG elements, no matter how crap they are, and act like you’re reviewing something that costs you £100 just to glance at. These rules obviously don’t apply if you’re the first to post, then you have to write ‘First, lol’ ”
And my comments about your game turn into an attack on Kong… sorry
lol, you aren’t wrong! It’s sad really isn’t it? But I consider Kong a necessary evil, it’s an easy way to get 1k free plays of your game. I really don’t take the “reviews” to heart. If the guys over on FGL had said the same, then I’d be mad, but listening to Kong reviews is about as productive as sawing your fingers off.
